People often search for today’s scrap price expecting one number. In practice, two loads with the same metal name may have different recoverable content, contamination, quantity and collection cost. A responsible buyer needs more information before confirming final value.
Metal identity and grade
Copper wire, insulated cable, motors and mixed equipment are not equivalent. Aluminium extrusion, painted frames, castings and composite panels differ. If the grade is unknown, describe the source and show cross-sections or labels rather than guessing.
Recoverable content
Plastic insulation, steel attachments, glass, rubber, moisture, dirt and general waste reduce recoverable content and add handling. Clean production offcuts are easier to classify than mixed demolition material.
Measured quantity
Assessment may use weight, item count or an agreed lot basis. Visual estimates can be wrong, especially for dense copper and lightweight aluminium. Final settlement should follow the measurement and terms agreed for the actual load.
Market conditions

Distance, loading and access
A prepared load near our Sharjah base differs from a small load requiring a long route, several workers, stairs or lifting. Dubai traffic windows, free-zone documentation and loading-bay rules can affect feasibility.
