A clear plan helps UAE warehouse operators protect reusable assets, separate valuable metals and avoid delays at the loading bay.
Start with ownership and inventory control
Confirm which items are approved for disposal and which remain company assets, leased equipment, customer stock or warranty returns. Record item counts, approximate weight and storage location. Keep serialised or data-bearing equipment isolated until the responsible manager approves release.
Separate metal from general waste
Create zones for aluminium, copper and cable, brass or stainless steel, batteries, ferrous steel and mixed machinery. Remove cardboard, timber, plastic wrap and ordinary rubbish where safe. Never conceal fluids, refrigerants, pressurised parts or hazardous material inside a mixed load.
Document access and loading requirements
- loading-bay height, gate size and vehicle restrictions;
- forklift, crane, pallet jack or labour availability;
- collection hours, security approval and required documents;
- floor, lift and aisle limitations;
- clearance deadline and whether work must happen in phases.

Provide one wide image of every storage area plus close-ups of labels, cable ends and typical items. Show the least-prepared material as well as clean metal. Photos support an initial assessment; final value depends on confirmed grades, measured quantity, loading and market conditions.
